Sanabel Al-Khair: A Partner in Brightening Futures...

Picture
One Community Based Organizations that has achieved notable successes through its partnership with the Jordan Career Education Foundation in collaboration with Youth Work:Jordan is The Sanabel Al-Khair Association. The Sanabel Al Khair Association provides services for women, children and youth.  Most of their members are widows, divorcees, or women in permanent domestic turmoil due to poverty and poor educational background.

Prior to its partnering with The Jordan Career Education Foundation, Sanabel Al-Khair was creating notable change within its community.  Their work prior to their partnership with the Jordan Career Education Foundation mainly focused on the social development of women.  Sanabel Al-Khair has increased its potential greatly and regained new life after its union with the Jordan Career Education Foundation.  Today Sanabel Al-Khair is at the forefront of youth training and employment efforts in their neighborhood.  The Sanabel Al-Khair Association is putting a lot of energy and dedication in to The Youth:Work Jordan Project.  This commitment to youth is best demonstrated by the pamphlet designed independently by the CBO's staff members, using Youth: Work Jordan branding.  The branding regulations were given to them through a training provided by JCEF staff.  After receiving JCEF training, Sanabal Al-Khair went the extra mile and followed the criteria provided to them to create the well executed pamphlet.  Better still, this independently created pamphlet is now being used to recruit local youth for Youth:Work Jordan programming.

Having signed its agreement with JCEF in December 2010, a once small local social development organization is currently preparing to engage 200 youth in vocational and soft-skills training-for-employment programming.  The Association will be employing programs for consultation, monitoring and social integration in order to combat the lack of opportunities faced by this group of young people.  Sanabel Al-Khair will be providing local youth with technical training and life skills training courses accompanied by career guidance and job placement services.  Most importantly however, it is providing these young people with an opportunity for a brighter future and the tools to give back to their community and country!
